How the Studio is set up for The Think. Each box saves on its own, so change one thing and press its Save button.

1Company and money

What goes on your invoices, how you get paid, and your sales target.

Company
Shown on every invoice. A limited company must show its registered name, number and office.
Invoicing
Numbering, payment terms, VAT and the bank details clients pay into
Targets
Used on the overview dashboard and in How we're doing
Xero and Direct Debit
Invoices go to Xero when they're sent and payments when they're paid; bank transfers you reconcile in Xero mark invoices paid here. Clients on care plans or pay-monthly websites can pay by Direct Debit.
Off
Xero
Not set up yet: four steps below, about ten minutes.
  1. At developer.xero.com, sign in with your Xero login, choose New app, pick Web app, name it “The Think Studio” and use https://studio.thethink.co.uk as the company URL.
  2. For the redirect URI, paste this:
  3. Under Configuration, make a client secret. Add the client id and secret in Vercel (Settings → Environment Variables) as XERO_CLIENT_ID and XERO_CLIENT_SECRET, then redeploy.
  4. Come back here and press Connect Xero.
Off
GoCardless (Direct Debit)
Add GOCARDLESS_ACCESS_TOKEN (and GOCARDLESS_ENV=live when ready) to switch on Direct Debit.

2Emails and notifications

What the Studio tells you about, and how: email, phone pop-ups and your Gmail.

Emails
Notifications go to your two logins only. Clients only get emails you send or start yourself: the Email box, automatic follow-ups and feedback requests.
Not sending yet

Add RESEND_API_KEY and EMAIL_FROM on the server to start sending. Until then, every email is saved to the log so you can preview it.

Email log
Send an email when…
Gmail sync · your account

Connect your Gmail so emails with anyone in the Studio appear on their record automatically, sent and received, and so you can send tracked emails from client, deal and prospect pages. Only the subject, a short preview and who it was between are stored for emails sent outside the Studio. Google keys need adding on the server first (see the README).

Connect Gmail
Phone notifications
Pop-ups on your phone (or computer) the moment something happens. Each login sets their own.

Push notifications need keys adding on the server first: run npm run push:keys and add the three values to Vercel (see the README).

Website enquiries always come through unless visitors are set to None. Each visitor triggers one notification per visit, not one per page.

3How the Studio works for you

Who gets which nudges, and what the Studio does automatically (drafting invoices, contracts, chasers and check-ins).

Who looks after what
The Studio sends each kind of work to the person who owns it: nudges, alerts, chasers and the items on their Today screen. Anyone can still see everything.
Automations
What the Studio does for you without being asked: aftercare invoices, contracts, chasers, the launch checklist, check-ins and backups. Switch any of them off here.

4Connected services and website

The outside services the Studio uses, and tracking on thethink.co.uk.

Connections
Services that switch on booking links, card payments, call notes, AI help and reviews. Keys are added on the server (see the README), never here.

Website tracking
Page views on thethink.co.uk, and who's browsing when they arrive from one of your emails
1. Add this to the site once (Framer → Site settings → General → Custom code → End of <body> tag), then publish
<script async src="https://studio.thethink.co.uk/t.js"></script>

Until someone accepts cookies nothing is stored in their browser: page views are counted anonymously, and a person arriving from your email is only recognised on the page they land on. To link up their whole visit after they accept, have the site's cookie banner call window.thinkTrack.consent(). Your own visits: open this link once on each device and browser you use, and they won't be counted.

Company lookup off

To see which businesses are browsing, add SNITCHER_API_KEY (best match rate, paid) or IPAPI_KEY (free for 1,000 lookups a day, fewer matches) on the server. The README has the steps.

Bring your data across
Your HubSpot clients, contacts and deals (snapshot from 1 November 2026), the researched prospects list and the business plan. Safe to run more than once: anything already here is skipped.

Takes up to a minute. Newer HubSpot changes (since 1 November) can be brought in later from a CSV export.

Add a login or reset a password

Tell them the password yourself; it's never emailed. Resetting someone also turns off their two-step login so they can set it up again.
